NCAAB Trio of Guesses with Reasoning

Boston College @ Duke

High lines and low lines, always try to find highs and lows.  Duke is 11-5-1 ATS since the 2004 season as a conference favorite of 15 or more.  That’s where I chose to end my research.  Any further research would put a severe hindrance on my opportunity cost, thereby lowering the absolute value of wager placed in proportion to time invested.  Why did I choose not to look past the year 2004?  Thomas Friedman said it best, around this time, the world transformed into a “flat world.”  Immediacy of information not only supercharged the infrastructure of communication, supply chain, and management systems, but had the intolerable effect of the bookies creating ‘sharper’ lines.  The wireless world we live in brings expediency of information.  The paradigm of the bookie operation invariably coincides with significant changes in society.  Every pecuniary endeavor, whether of avocation or vocation, sees greater benefits when utilizing the principles of calculated efficiency.

Chow’s contract, though, has one year left and any possible stipulation of him leaving would require a buyout. But over at Bruins Nation, it is being confirmed the nature of these reports are frivolous and premature.

0-1 – $110, Rant on Louisville’s epic fail

Lost two straight games now (yes I’m counting my St. Mary’s action play).  I had been on a nice little 7 game run.  I’ll get it back tomorrow.  And oh, BTW…

It’s fascinating.  It truly is ‘effin fascinating.  How a coach could watch his time shoot 32 threes after building a LOU" >17 pt lead at home vs the #4 team in the country, Villanova.  What is going through the players’ collective minds while they continue to launch up a conflagration of bricks from behind the arc, and their sizeable lead dwindles into the red.  I could write a freakin’ dissertation on analyzing the thought process and flawed reasoning of the coaches and players of the dumbfounded Cardinals of De’Ville on 1/11/2010.

NFL Wild Card Sunday Quick Facts via Long Article

On Saturday, the recipe for victory was momentum. Both the Jets and the Cowboys ended the regular season with a win and rode that momentum into a Wild Card victory. Subsequently, the Bengals and the Eagles discovered that resting starters and executing vanilla schemes for Week 17 had the resounding un-welcomed impact of inducing lethargic play, as witnessed in their first round exits.

Today the games are facing similar contingencies.
