Does the regular season in NCAAB stimulate any sort of emotion aside from fans of their respective teams? The South Carolina faithful will be elated, ecstatic, and overjoyed over the next few days coming off an historical upset. What does an historical upset really mean over the course of the season? With the win, South Carolina has now placed themselves firmly on the ephemeral pedastal, and the proverbial bubble. Congratulations on giving writers the chance to use the phrases “ephemeral pedastal” and “proverbial bubble.” Both situations lead to one inevitability, a regression to the mean, to the stark nature of mediocrity.
