I’ve been chronicling my PHP progress (or lack thereof). Its moving with a gradually punctuated sense of progress. Sometimes for whatever reason I get the urge to venture back into the programming madness. So I created a -1 RL Calculator that serves as a way to combat the reluctance of US books to include this line amongst their betting options. There is something strange in the way US books avoid the -1 RL, which Euro books are so open to. But like I said before, playing what the sportsbook offers cost you about 3 cents on the dollar, when you can calculate your unit distribution through linear math. I won’t spell out the math here, since I posted the formula here.
Calculator is here. Its very delicate because I don’t know what I’m doing. PHP masters would probably scoff at the frivolous coding and syntactical inconsistencies. But as far as I know I’m the only person to have yet created a PHP MLB -1 Run Calculator.
Just follow the directions, US odds only please. I’ll add a Decimal Odds toggle eventually.
