Inverse Pythagorean Calculator
Typically, the pythagorean winning percentage is derived from a given runs scored, runs against, and an exponent. For this calculator, the winning percentage is provided, and the aspired result is the line/run differential, and will affect a betting line.
- “Total” refers to either an average runs scored and runs against per game, or the total appropriated by the betting line.
- The win probability is left to the preference of the user, either average over the course of a season, win probability calculated for that game, or some other measure.
- “Exponent” is left to the user’s fancy as well. To find the most optimal exponents for each sport, search the site via the search box at top, or google.
Whatever the conditions surrounding the run scoring environment should be placed into the corresponding boxes.
